Sunday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $26,646 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Saturday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $460.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Saturday’s sequence began in Race 4 with Just Clarity [No. 2, $6.40*] winning a state-bred maiden claimer with Dylan Davis in the irons for trainer David Donk. The Jeremiah Englehart-trained Sir Kartrite [No. 4, $10] followed in Race 5 with a state-bred maiden win to give jockey Manny Franco his third win on the card.
Race 6 saw Lane Luzzi engineer a winning trip aboard Cumberland Blues [No. 8, $6.40] for trainer Wayne Potts in a claiming tilt, one race before Franco notched his fourth win on the card in the co-featured $125,000 NYSSS Staten Island [Race 7] aboard Golden Rocket [No. 1, $18.60] for trainer Ilkay Kantarmaci.
The largest upset in the sequence came when Jose Lezcano guided Cicciobello [No. 4, $43.60] to win the $125,000 NYSSS Thunder Rumble for conditioner Derek Ryan in Race 8.
With the carryover already ensured, the sequence closed out with Franco scoring his fifth win on the card aboard Lightning Mama [No. 7, $6.70*] in a state-bred maiden claiming sprint for trainer Mike Maker in Race 9.
Sunday’s sequence begins in Race 4 at approximately 1:39 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 12:10 p.m.
