Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $34,660 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $2,185 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Juvenile filly Beauty Reigns [No. 8, $6.90] kicked off the sequence in Race 4 with a maiden score under Junior Alvarado for Hall of Famer Bill Mott traveling 6 1/2-furlongs over the main track.
The Ruben Silvera-piloted and Rudy Rodriguez-trained Jolly Miss Jill [No. 2, $17.40] upset Race 5, one-turn mile claimer for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up, one race before Bettrluckythangood [No. 6, $8.40*] captured a 1 1/16-mile outer turf allowance for New York-breds 3-year-olds and up with Dylan Davis at the helm for Christophe Clement.
Chalky Cat [No. 9, $6.80*] lived up to his name in Race 7 by taking a 6 1/2-furlong claimer for 3-year-olds and up with Jose Lezcano in the irons for owner-trainer Linda Rice ahead of a significant upset in Race 8 as No Mo Candy [No. 2, $38.40] scored as the longest price on the board in the Grade 3 Pebbles with Hall of Famer John Velazquez up for trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr.
With only one horse covered [No. 4, Toupie] in the $150,000 Autumn Days in Race 9, Dylan Davis guided Love Appeals [No. 10, $16.20] to a rallying score to pick up his third win on the card and second on the program for Clement.
Saturday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 5 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Eastern on a 10-race card that features the Grade 3, $200,000 Hill Prince [Race 5], the Listed $150,000 Aqueduct Turf Sprint Championship [Race 8] and the Grade 2, $300,000 Red Smith [Race 9]. First post is 11:40 a.m.
