Sunday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Double Pick 6 carryover of $104,574 after the multi-race wager went unsolved for the second consecutive day on Saturday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $401 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Saturday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Top of the Table [No. 6, $6.50*] topping a six-furlong starter allowance with Kendrick Carmouche aboard for trainer Mark Hennig.
Conditioner George Weaver sent out the next winner with the Eric Cancel-piloted Swift Magic [No. 7, $45] capturing a one-mile maiden for New York-breds, in Race 5. One race later, Cancel wheeled back to win another one-mile state-bred maiden aboard Sunday Gilt [No. 6, $8.80] for trainer Jeremiah Englehart, in Race 6.
In Race 7, Nolita [No. 7, $17.60] sprung an upset under Jose Lezcano in a 6 1/2-furlong state-bred allowance for Hall of Famer Bill Mott. In Race 8, the one-mile $150,000 Jerome, Cyclone State [No. 6, $8.10] drew off under Luis Rivera, Jr. for trainer Chad Summers, earning 10 Kentucky Derby qualifying points in victory.
With the double carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 9 finale, a seven-furlong claimer, the Rivera, Jr.-piloted That’s Money [No. 6, $6.60*] prevailed for trainer Bruce Brown.
Sunday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 12:40 p.m.
