Pick 6 carryover of $25K with mandatory payout on Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack

Sunday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $25,915 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Saturday’s nine-race program. The Closing Day program of the Aqueduct fall meet features a mandatory payout of all pools.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $575.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Saturday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Violent Swing [No. 9, $17.80] taking a 6 1/2-furlong claimer with Keiber Coa aboard for trainer M. Anthony Ferraro.

Conditioner Wesley Ward sent out the next winner with the Hall of Famer John Velaquez-piloted Naive Melody [No. 13, $4.60*], a half-sister to Grade 1-winner Domestic Product, who captured a six-furlong New York-bred maiden, in Race 5. One race later, Liberte de Bayeux [No. 9, $17] won a one-mile starter allowance with Jose Lezcano in the irons for trainer Linda Rice, in Race 6.

In Race 7, a seven-furlong allowance, the Rick Dutrow, Jr.-conditioned Skylander [No. 10, $11] closed to victory under Dylan Davis. In Race 8, the state-bred $100,000 Alex M. Robb at one-mile, the favored Bank Frenzy [No. 7, $4.70*] nosed out pacesetter Doc Sullivan with Manny Franco up for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.

With 9-of-12 horses left uncovered in the Race 9 finale, a 6 1/2-furlong state-bred maiden claimer, the Horacio De Paz-trained and Hall of Famer Joel Rosario-piloted Bookitwithhaddad [No. 9, $13.80] prevailed, triggering the carryover.

Sunday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 1:37 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card that features the Listed $150,000 Queens County [Race 8] is 12:10 p.m.
