The son of Arrogate had impeccable pedigree for going 1 ½ miles at the Belmont Stakes. He has not raced since that huge effort but has been working beautifully at Saratoga over the last six weeks. A lengthy layoff after such a taxing race for a young horse makes sense and trainer Jena Antonucci seems to be pressing all the right buttons. 80% of winners in dirt route races at Saratoga this summer have been on the lead or sitting within 3 ½ lengths of the pace so getting good early position will be paramount. The scary thing for the rest of the field is that the Belmont could be just a taste of what is to come.
