A Cash Card is a reloadable account wagering card that you can use to make bets on at self-service terminals at all NYRA Racetracks – Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga.
Preloaded Cash Cards are available from our Cash Card vending machines. Cash Card vending machines are available at all NYRA tracks.
Please refer to each vending machine for denominations of Cash Cards available for purchase. Cash Cards are regularly available in four different denominations.
You can purchase a preloaded Cash Card with cash or debit and credit cards. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards are all accepted.
We do not charge a fee for the Cash Card. However, if you elect to pay for the Cash Card with a credit card, your credit card company will charge you the equivalent of a ‘cash advance’ fee per your card’s terms and conditions. Please consult with your credit card company to determine what your fee would be.
Just like when you make a bet with a paper ticket, each bet made on a Cash Card has a unique serial number. Once you make a bet, your account balance goes down by the amount of the bet. Once a race has gone official, if your bet is a winner, the bet gets automatically cashed in the tote system and your account balance goes up by the amount of the winnings.
Self-service terminals are located throughout Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga – on all floors and in all areas.
One great perk of Cash Cards is that you can use any self-service terminal to review your activity. You can see previous bets – both those on races that have already happened and those yet to come – and see the payouts too. You will never lose a winning ticket or a voucher ever again.
Each Cash Card has an account number and pin. Pins are preloaded to each Cash Card account and are printed on the Cash Card. The preloaded pin is obstructed by a scratch off and we recommend that on your first use you change the pin to something you will remember and is not the pin on the back of the card. If you lost your card, this will preclude others from taking your balance.
To protect you, your pin is needed each time you engage a terminal and when you make additional deposits and withdrawals.
You can add money to your Cash card at a self-service terminal by inserting cash, a winning ticket, or a betting voucher. You can also add money with a mutuel clerk.
You can take money off your Cash card at a self-service terminal by hitting the withdrawal button. You can withdraw any amount as decided by you up to your account balance and you will receive it in the form of a credit voucher. Credit vouchers can be cashed at our NRT self-serve kiosks or with a mutuel clerk. You can also make a withdrawal directly from your Cash Card with a mutuel clerk.
No. However, after three years without activity (a deposit, withdrawal, or wager) we are forced to treat the account as abandoned property and provide any remaining balance to New York State.
Please be advised that all regular wagering rules apply to Cash Cards. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to use Cash Cards and play the races.
