Race 2

In the 2nd race at Saratoga on 08/24/2024 there was a Jockeys Objection made by jockey Jose Ortiz (#5, Green Light), who finished second, against the winner, #9, Donegal Momentum. The incident started at the top of the stretch and continued through the stretch run. After reviewing the replay and questioning the riders involved, the Stewards determined that #5 Green Light and #9 Donegal Momentum make mutual contact at the top of the stretch. #5 Green Light, continues to drift out under a left-handed ride bumping #9, Donegal Momentum, multiple times in the stretch run. #9, Donegal Momentum holds his ground and finishes ahead of #5, Green Light. As a result, the Stewards dismissed the objection and made no change to the order of finish. The order of finish is 9-5-3-4.
