Race #2 - Steward’s Inquiry into the stretch run of Race 2. In the vicinity of the 1/16 pole, # 7 Hy Brasil (Luis Reyes) suffered a severe musculo-skeletal injury (right fore), stumbled sharply and unseated the jockey. No other horses were involved in the incident. Hy Brasil was euthanized on the turf course immediately after the race.

The race was declared official.
