The Cigar Mile

The 36th running of the Grade 2, $500,000 Cigar Mile presented by TwinSpires is slated for Saturday, December 7. Post time: 3:35pm. Gates open at 11:00am.

Formerly, the NYRA Mile, the Cigar Mile was renamed after its 1994 winner and two-time Horse of The Year winner, Cigar. Saudi Cup winner, Senor Buscador, placed second in last year's contest.

Additional highlights on the December 7 card include:

Remsen (G2) | 1 1/8 miles on the dirt, $250,000 purse, for two-year-olds.

Demoiselle (G2) | 1 1/8 miles on the dirt, $250,000 purse, for two-year-old fillies.

Go For Wand (G3) | 1 mile on the dirt, $200,000 purse, for fillies & mares three-years-old and up.

TV Schedule

America's Day at the Races will air Saturday, December 7 from 11:30am-6:00pm on FS2.

Toys For Tots Drive

NYRA will be hosting its annual Toys For Tots Drive, in which NYRA partners with Toys for Tots to encourage fans and horsemen to donate unused, unwrapped toys on this day to go to local families.

Donation collection boxes will be available on Thursday December 5, Friday December 6, and Saturday December 7 at the Aqueduct main entrance.

The Big A's premier dining experience will be open on Saturday, December 7 for Cigar Mile Day! Each reservation includes admission to a premium buffet, non-alcoholic beverages, a race day program, and tax & gratuity. Reservations are limited – don't delay!

Longshots Sports Bar will be open with a vast number of TVs and betting carrels perfect for watching racing simulcasts, college & pro sports, and more.
The Triple Crown Café will serve concessions through final post.

Mouttet Mile

Aqueduct will be showcasing the Mouttet Mile live from Caymanas Park in Jamaica. Aqueduct will have various homages to the country of Jamaica placed throughout the building, including a Jamaican steel drums band in the lobby.
