The Aqueduct Horsemen's
Relations office is located across from the horsemen’s area of the Racing
Office in the basement. Horsemen's Relations works an Aqueduct racing schedule
of Wednesday through Sunday, opening at 9 a.m.
Alysse Jacobs, Horsemen's Relations Supervisor
Alysse began working in NYRA's Horsemen's Relations department under Carmen Barrera in 2009. She assumed the head position of the department in 2019.
The Horsemen’s Lounge, located on the second level of the clubhouse, is open to any horseman with a current NYRA ID Badge. The lounge offers a view of the track and paddock, light snacks, soft beverages, and seating every live race day. The box seating area is also accessible through the lounge for those who wish to view the races outside. Please check in with your NYRA ID for a wristband to access the lounge and box seating area throughout the race day. The lounge is open from gates through the last live race of the day. Seating is first-come first-served.
Box Seating
Box seating is complimentary to horsepeople and accessible with a wristband from the Horsemen’s Lounge.
Dining
The Equestris dining room is open every Saturday beginning on September 28th as well as on Sunday, October 27th. Located on the third floor, the Equestris offers views of the entire track. Your table includes a three and a half hour buffet, a race day program, tax and gratuity. The dining room opens at 11:00 a.m. with the buffet opening at 12:00 p.m. Adults and teens are $75 per person, children 3-12 $30 per person, and children under 3 are free. Longshots Simulcast Center & Sports Bar, located on the 2nd floor, is open each live race day with food service on weekends. Horsemen may reserve a table in the Horsemen Dining section of Longshots through Horsemen’s Relations.
The Triple Crown Café, located on the 1st floor to the right of the casino walkway, features stadium classics like burgers, chicken tenders, and soft drinks. It is open daily from gates through final post.
Silks Bar, located on the south end of the 1st floor, offers beer, wine, and cocktails and is open daily from gates through final post.
Paddock Passes
The paddock is accessible by presenting a current NYRA ID badge. Should you require assistance if you do not have your badge, please contact Horsemen’s Relations.
Parking and Credentials
Complimentary horseperson parking is available in the clubhouse lot in front of the grandstand. Please show your Horseperson ID badge for parking. Horsepeople ID badges are distributed through the Identification Office. To obtain a NYRA ID badge, please contact Paulette Reyes at [email protected] or by phone at (718) 659-2236.
Hotels
NYRA has a working relationship with the Resorts World Hyatt, adjacent to Aqueduct. Please contact the Horsemen’s Relations office for assistance with booking your stay.
Horsemen Notification System
Managing owners can sign up to receive a text message or email alert when their horse is entered. The message will include entries as well as information to easily reach the Horsemen’s Relations department to facilitate making race day arrangements. Licensing | The New York State Gaming Commission handles all licensing required to participate in New York racing. Their Aqueduct office is located in the clubhouse lobby behind the escalator. They can be reached at (718) 641-6906. More info can be found on their website.
